I am a writer, photographer, and designer in Central Virginia.

After earning my undergraduate degree in film and media studies at the University of Virginia in 2006, I began a career in marketing and communications. Since then, I have helped launch and manage a successful experimental film screening series, worked in book design for a major publishing house in New York, served as a collaborative fellow at UnionDocs Center for Documentary Art, and wrangled puppies at the local SPCA, among other endeavors. I also served as the executive director for Piedmont Council for the Arts, and have worked in nonprofit communications within numerous organizations.

I currently work as the assistant director of the Virginia Center for the Book and spend the rest of my time reading, traveling, listening to music, or writing about any of those endeavors.
