The second in the Last Policeman trilogy, this book was hard to differentiate from the first and last in the series… in a good way. Each book works so wonderfully well as part of the series and brings new characters and challenges to the overall narrative. Winters is wildly creative in coming up with the smaller elements in the larger conspiracy. All three of the books were hard to put down or stop reading, even for a meal or night of sleep.
